About this event

A collaborative event posted with the help of the Idaho aviation Association, and 4Lo Idaho Off-road. Come on out and enjoy a weekend in the woods at the Graham airstrip. Whether you choose to fly in or drive in it will be an adventure regardless. That’s right you heard correctly if you have a plane and don’t mind landing at a backcountry airstrip you’re invited. Otherwise the rest of us ground pounders will be driving in. Those that are driving in will be meeting in the back of the parking lot of the Albertsons at the intersection of Federal Way and Highway 21 in Boise, Idaho. Please plan to arrive at 3 PM, as I plan on trying to leave around 3:30 PM. We will convoy up Highway 21, and snag a few other participants who are meeting us in Idaho city. From Boise to Graham it’s about 4 Hours total drive time. Once we leave Idaho city there are no services, no fuel no portable water, and nowhere to buy food or tools. Please plan accordingly. Stock height vehicles with street tires are not recommended and will struggle on the rocky and washed out road. 4x4 is required for some areas because the road is like driving uphill on a road covered in marbles. Campers and camp trailers are not recommended due to the narrow road and how washed out it is, also I imagine the washout has gotten worse after the recent rains.
